I have created a new Looe Island Collection and all the sea glass in this collection has been found on the island. Also known as St George's Island it is found just off the coast of Looe in Cornwall.
Previously privately owned by my school needlework teacher and her sister, who wrote a book about the island titled "We bought an island", they bequeathed it to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust to keep it and the wildlife that use it protected.
I am very lucky to have sea glass from the island which I have made into this jewellery collection and will donate 20% of all sales of sea glass from the island to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
Most of the collection is on the island for you to purchase if you are lucky enough to visit.
I also have pieces on my website. In the winter months when the island is shut to visitors the whole collection will be on the website.
